I'm not even really a Ward fan but let's get real. Froch doesn't wanna fight him so he can continue to milk this newfound fame he has. And anyone trying to justify it is ******. And its even ******er to try and justify Froch being in the driver's seat as far as legitimacy in the super middleweight division.

"Froch is warrior who always fights the best, he doesn't fight for money he fights for glory."

Where are all the Froch nuthuggers? I've always said he chases the doe like everybody else. This myth about him seeking the best fighters available is straight BS.

I'd compare him more to Calzage than Ottke based on him beating pretty much all of the top guys in his division, including the clown that this discussion is being centered around.

This is Eddie Hearn speak. The so called saviour of British boxing.

I swear, the Ward-Froch debate is even dumber than the Floyd-Manny one. At least with Floyd-Manny, it was debateable as to who was better because we didn't have a head-to-head meeting. We KNOW Ward is better. And we KNOW that is why Froch wants to avoid another fight as long as possible. Yet his fans defend him and try and act like Ward is the one in need of redemption. Its mind boggling to me. The only thing I can think of that compares is when after B-Hop beat Tito, Roy Jones' haters hoped on the B-Hop bandwagon and acted as if Roy "needed" B-Hop to somehow prove his greatness, even though he had a clear victory over him already.

Actually, what Froch was saying is that Hearn would not pay Ward the huge purse he asked for travelling in the UK -- Ward wanted $5-7 million...

To be honest: Hearn cannot pay such money only to have his man beaten, again, in a bore of a fight -- as all we are aware that it will be...

Nah a lot of fans here said he deserved credit for fighting top guys back to back, but if you look at it closely he either didn't have the choice (super 6) or it was the most lucrative fight available (Bute).

Ottke was no.1 longer than Calzaghe and Calzaghe actually defended away from home (Veit, Hopkins, Jones). Like Ottke, Ward refuses to cross a border.

Difference between Ottke and Ward is that Ward still has to make some 19 defenses.

But the Supersix contained the best SMW's and Bute was the best of those not participating, so what's your point again?

Most lucrative fight available? You mean the one that Ward rejected?
