It will be interesting to see how Golovkin reacts when Macklin lands some big shots on him, as he surely will.

Can't see past GGG by KO. Murray has a better chance to beat Golovkin imo.

yes i remember this excuse when he was first offered the golovkin fight.

Right after Geale beat Mundine Macklin was on Twitter saying he wanted to fight Geale next. If Geale had said 'okay lets make it happen' then April/May is the earliest it would have happened with June/July being more likely. Funny how Macklin didn't need a tune up fight for a Geale title shot but when he's offered one against Golovkin to take place around the same time he's not ready all of a sudden.

I'm looking forward to this one - 2 warriors and both will give their all but I suspect Golovkin will probably take over the latter rounds and stop Macklin between rounds 8 - 10 and on the undercard Tommy Oosthuizen fights so a good night all around.

Macklin's inactivity is his own problem. He's coming off an easy 1 round KO back in September of 2012, and if seriously pursuing a belt should be fighting at least twice a year. Yo Matthew, (at 31 years of age) fighting once every 10 months can hardly be considered staying active.

Triple G will win by KO and challenge Sergio next year when he is available and healthy then Brutally KO Sergio.
