Martinez, 38-years-old, last fought on April 27th in Argentina, when he retained his title with a twelve round unanimous decision over unbeaten British contender Martin Murray. During the match Martinez suffered several injuries and needs the necessary time to fully recover.

Martinez told Tiempo Sports that he might retire after two more fights, because of a promise that he made to his mother. I think Martinez still has a lot to give I also feel he still hasn't had a defining fight yet, Yes he beat Chavez, And Williams they stand out but Williams was a k/o waiting to happen.

He should fight ward thats a defining fight.
