    Mayweather Champ at 160?

I have been reading about a supposed fight between Sergio Martinez and Miguel Cotto. I am assuming it would be for Cotto to win the 160 belt he has been talking about this past year or two. I really do not think Martinez is the same fighter he once was and can see Cotto possibly beating him and becoming Middleweight Champ. I have always thought that Mayweather will use Cotto as on of his opponents before he retires and now that I read Cotto will be fighting for a belt at 160 it has me thinking Mayweather will use it to his advantage and take another belt at another weight division. What do you guys think?

      mak's funny......lol

Anyways to the TS, you do know that he's already fought Cotto, right? I dont see a rematch even at 160. Floyd wouldnt cherry pick it like that unless Cotto won atleast 1 other big fight there to prove that he's very good at that weight. I think Floyd would love a MW title but the only guy I ever see him fighting there is Sergio and even then, he probably would only fight him at 154

I cant see Cotto getting past Martinez. Even though Martinez has looked old Cotto doesnt have a MW punch. And I cant see Cotto outboxing Martinez over 12 rounds.

Yes I know he fought Cotto and what does that mean? didn't Cotto give him his most difficult fight since Castillo? Then you say you don't see Floyd cherry picking? funny. Guerrero, Ortiz, and Marquez were obvious cherry picks.

I think he would let Cotto fight "whatever weight he is comfortable at"

Idk about that. Who has Martinez fought who is a better boxer then Cotto? Everyone's he has fought is definitely bigger and stronger but a better boxer then Cotto? No. The 1,2 combo he has with the little movement he showed vs Murray will not be as effective as most think.
