Here we go again. Someone from the opponents camp is trying to boost the guys confidence. DLH and Guerreros father said the same thing and the dude got embarassed. I say Canelo will put forth an effort but given his habit of fighting in spurts and losing gas later in rounds will be his downfall. Its gonna be the same scenario. Floyd will pick and place his shots, get accused of running, even though the real purpose of boxing is hit and not get hit, and win by UD. Canelo brings nothing to the table that Floyd hasn't experienced before. The same thing can't be said about Canelo. I still think its a good fight because thats what the fans wanted, but I see no way Floyd will lose. Especially if he uses the same defensive skills he used in the guerrero fight. We shall wait and see.
Learn the difference between height and size. They're the same height, but not the same size. Floyd is already in fighting shape. He won't look any bigger on fight night. Canelo is in fighting shape, but you will see his size advantage on fight night.
Hasnt already been proven time and time again that you can't beat Floyd by simply being bigger then him. Almost every fight he's fought since moving up to welterweight has been against bigger opponents. Size don't mean anything if you can't catch your opponent. Just saying.
Mayweather never displays massive confidence/over confidence in the build up to fight. Hatton looked way more confident of victory in the press conferences but in the ring Mayweather displays way more confidence than outside of it. That is his makeup.
If I'm Team Canelo, I'm spending as much time as possible in the ears of DLH and Schaefer trying to get them to kiss and make up with Top Rank. Because after this fight, Canelo needs a Pacquaio fight to once again become a "great" fighter. DLH, Hatton, JMM, and Mosley were all cherry picked bums immediately following their fights with Floyd. And all magically became ATGs the likes of which boxing has never seen when they fought Pac. But now, because of the GBP-TP rift, Canelo may get stuck in that cherry picked bum status along with the Ortizs, Cottos, and Guerreros of the world.
Doubtful. Mayweather has been doing this for a long time. I doubt he's scared of much of anything in the ring. He has to have some anxiety though about losing, if he ever does... that moment. Because people would go ape ****, and that has got to be something you would think about with a little dread.
