  • Comments Thread For: Canelo's Brother Says Floyd Mayweather Displayed Fear

On Tuesday in Los Angeles, the first face to face took place between Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs) and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (42-0-1, 30KOs), as the two fighters were shooting promos for their upcoming fight on September 14th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The match takes place at a catch-weight of 152-pounds for Canelo's WBC/WBC/Ring junior middleweight titles.

Junior welterweight contender Ricardo Alvarez, the older brother of Canelo, said "Mayweather, you could see the fear on his face." Ricardo felt Mayweather was intimidated and not his usual self as was seen in past face-off situations. [Click Here To Read More]

Just like team Guerrero saw fear in Mayweather's face every time they saw him.
Now he's off getting possessed by the holy spirit every other day

I laugh at these comments man, especially because there isn't a more calm and composed fighter than Floyd.

It's hard to read Floyd. Against Oscar he talked a bunch, don't know why because Oscar never was known as a talker.

Against Marquez, he didn't hardly talk and showed much respect. Against Guerrero, he talked a lot again and now it seems as though he held back against Canelo.

I think Mayweather understands the threat that Canelo is. He's keeping quiet and is going to show his greatness in the ring like he always does.

It's probably because Canelo and Marquez don't speak english, but Marquez case is a bit different because Mayweather respects him, genuinely does.
