Yea but he can retire, and it will be fine. But if he wants to keep fighting, and holding belts hostage, then he needs to fight the best. And again, NO ONE will hold it against him if he retires.

But he quite clearly did try to secure the Kovalev fight. How was Warren supposed to know that Hopkins-Murat would be cancelled and that the IBF would immediately instate Kovalev as mandatory?

Warren has been negotiating with Main Events for a while now. They have been asked several times to delay the press conference by Main Events

I suppose Warren also knew that Deontay Wilder was going to batter his girlfriend.
