Not a title fight but the ref in Kirkland-Molina ruined what could've been a crazy ending. Kirkland looked like he finally found his rhythm. He dominated Molina in the 10th round and had Molina hurt until that BS DQ.
    That was bad

Funny, this is first thing I thought about when I saw this thread.

That was brutal. The ref should have stopped it from the 1st knockdown, the guy could barely stand up. Pretty harsh for Soto as well

Cortez ripped off Soto against Lorenzo
forget the ref's name in Abraham-Miranda, but he fucked Miranda over
Andrade was robbed of a belt by a ref vs Bute
Luis Pabon screwed Margarito out of a crucial KD point vs Santos
Nady (and the judges) fucked Barrera over against Marquez

Bute might've beat the count, but he was in no condition to continue the fight; any competent, non-corrupt ref stops that fight as soon as they see the condition Bute's in (is leaning heavily on the ropes for support, is glassy eyed, and can barely lift his gloves).

Not to mention that he allowed Molina to hold excessively without deducting a point. He didn't even warn him; the reason the result of the fight didn't bother me.
That was disgusting man, I've seen hit and hold, I rarely seen a fighter lead with clinches, then literally hold on to them while shoving them into a corner, runnin' the clock. Can't stand Molina's styles.

Cortez ruined Mayweather v Hatton, which was a shame given how much hype preceded that fight.

Mares-Agbeko I is a crazy one. How Russell Mora continues to get work as a ref is beyond me. Letting the fight go on after Donaire dropped Montiel was one of the worst calls I've ever seen any ref make.

The Taylor-Chavez situation was just a fuck up. A disastrous way for an epic fight to end.

Joe Cortez was absolutely appalling in the Mayweather-Hatton fight and a few others as well. One of the worst refs in the sport.

                Exactly...

I respect fighters being able to fight and compete regardless of the talent (or lack thereof) they might have, but holding, especially excessive holding, gets on my nerves. Whenever Kirkland got (where Molina deemed) too close, he'd crouch, move forward, hold on, and start walking Kirkland backward.

People might think "why didn't Kirkland do something about it then", but that's without understanding how difficult that strategy/tactic is to deal with. If Molina (whose solid defensively) can cause you to miss on the outside, he can make the most exciting fighters boring.

Who was that ref who robbed Martinez twice against Cintron? I forgot what he done exactly but the fight should have been stopped for some reason then he gave Cintron a rest as well or something

I'd like to point out that this is an ironic post given that you're an Arsenal supporter. They all do **** all. No title in about what 10 years.
