because Povetkin is the best HW in the world not named Klitschko and because it is staged by Povetkin's handlers and not K2.

I believe it's a good fight. Especially in Russia, Povetkin's backyard. There will be extra pressure on Wlad. And Povetkin is not some bum like the recent sorts Wlad has been fighting.

It'll take time for this fight to be made. I mean, the Russians need to find a way to rob Wladimir of his titles.

Overrated or not.....don't you forget that you said "cherry picker Wlad" should get credit for beating Povetkin (a top active HW and one of his top challengers)

At least Povetkin will try in front of his fans. Not sure what Lyakhovich will do against Wilder

I don't see how Povetkin could even do that. He's not going to outbox Wlad, he will need the KO. The only option is to go toe to toe, which most probably will get Povetkin massacred in front of his own fans.

So that we don't have to hear about Povetkin anymore.

You're right. Povetkin cannot beat Wladimir in the ring; that's why all of this drug-testing nonsense is so suspect. If they can't rob Wladimir in the ring (decision), they'll do it after.

I'll give Wlad the credit he deserves for fighting top contenders, no doubt about it.

But go and look at my previous posts, I've said from day one that Povetkin will get smashed to pieces as soon as he steps in that ring and that there are other challengers out there that are bigger for Wlad - but they aren't ready at this moment in time.
