Kirkland needs to get his life together and just focus on boxing I think he'd beat Smith possibly Cotto the rest he has a punchers chance

I finally fought my older brother when I was 21 because I couldn't take no more of his talking down to me. My point is... it's not hard to believe slapping a family member considering the majority of families are nuts. My opinion though.
Was your brother a professional boxer and former light middleweight champion? No, then I will have to say there's a huge difference between you and Kirkland.

You are an alt, an admin has flat out said so. And you still don't understand boxing economics. You think because you post 24/7 on the internet you understand people, but the truth is you don't.

SMH.... All the potential in the world to be a big draw and earn serious cash......

Probably never going to make a p4p list but he was this era's action fighter much like gatti in his time....

Im a huge kirkland fan but i have no hope that he ever regains his status in boxing...

Ive been waiting for an update on his case against Golden Boy and Dunkin about his contract. Was suppose to be settled weeks ago and nothing.

Now this... He was on a radio show a few weeks ago and you could tell he was going through some tough times. Gonna be tougher now since if he really is on probation, hes gonna go back to prison.. somehow if he gets off, boxing will continue to black ball him...

He was in live to fight Canelo for God's sake. He had a great career in front of him, even if he wasn't pound for pound, the kid can flat out fight.

He's stuck in the same mentality and false pride BS we all grew up with but some of us got rid of it and knew better. I could have went the way of most Chicano's and joined a gang, sold drugs and possibly gotten killed or ended up in jail for doing that to someone else.

I made a conscious decision that I didn't want that in my life and moved away and changed my life. It seems to me that Kirkland is stuck in that same mentality and he's throwing everything away.

He's done IMO, he isn't very smart, is making all the wrong decisions and I'm sure they are losing patience with him.
I mostly agree with what you're saying, but everyone's circumstances are different. How many people have you known who said they were getting out only to fall right back in. In sports you see it happen to a large percentage of people.

As far as you yourself, good for you for getting out of the life. Its not an easy thing to do.
