Puncher's chance. He can land and drop Rigo, but needs to make it a messy fight with loads of punches. Simply not his style though.
Do you think Donaire has a shot at beating Rigondeaux in a rematch?

No. You can never beat a guy who is hell bent on surviving a KO even at the cost of getting booed. It's like trying to pull out a poisonous spider out of the ground with your bare hands. Only chance you'll have of beating this kind of fighter is in a ring that measures 1x1 meter.
I don't think Arum will make such boring fight again. There's no money there. It's a waste of time and resources.Last edited by al-Xander; 06-16-2013, 09:10 PM.Comment

No, like I said before the first encounter, as good of a puncher as he is he doesn't even have a punchers chance.
Rigondeaux beats him even more soundly in the second fight.
Nobody, nobody in boxing beats Rigondeaux south of 126. He is simply put, that good!
You may hurt him, you may drop him even but the guy has extreme conditioning, recovers in the blink of an eye, can adapt at the flick of a light switch and you will never see him get hit with the same shot twice.
He is just that good, hes a once in a lifetime fighter who isn't losing to anybody in his prime.Comment

That is another thing he doesn't deserve a rematch. Why? what for? He arguably lost every round but one, he got humiliated and was never so much as in the fight at any stage including the knockdown when Rigo thought the ref was going to break them.
Hes needs to move on, up to 126 to fight guys his own size. Its not his fault he just isn't on Rigondeaux's level.
People talked about Donaire having so much more experience, do you think for one minute Donaire bought anything to the table Rigondeaux had not seen before? If anybody looked inexperienced it was the guy who was out of idea's from the 3rd round that got his ass whooped.
He was out of his depth completely & would get brutalised should there be a rematch. If you cared for Donaire or his career you'd probably be against this fight.Comment

Not sure what fight you saw. Rigo stood in fornt of donaire untill the 7th. Dominating the whole time. The only one trying to survive a KO was donaire in the 12th.No. You can never beat a guy who is hell bent on surviving a KO even at the cost of getting booed. I don't know. I don't know if Donaire will fight any differently, and I can't say I expect him to. I think he'd be more aggressive and competitive, but that might get him stopped.Comment

No. If anyone's beating Rigo anytime soon, it's Anselmo Moreno with his god awful spoiler style in an atrocious fight.Comment
