I hate articles like these. Why do the boxers even mention other boxers from different promotions knowing full well that the fights won't ever happen. Is it just to tease the fan base because it's really depressing if you ask me.

IDK. Theyve worked together on fights before and its not like these guys have huge names like Floyd & Pac. These fights can be made and I put most of the blame on Arum. I think GBP would come to the table with a pretty fair deal.

Donaire never trains in Oxnard though, and Robert only works with him for a very short spell before the fights. He 'trained' him for the Rigo fight over the phone. I don't know how strong the professional or the personal relationship is there to be honest.

I getcha, but Donaire himself has said he won't fight Mikey.

Lets remember that Mares and Golden Boy made an attempt to make the Donaire Mares fight by offering 3 mil. It was Top Ranks fault why that fight didn't happen. At least the valid contract and the valid offer of 3 mil was sent n offered by Golden boy.

True. I always got the impression that Golden Boy would be willing to work with Top Rank to make fights happen but Bob Arum wanted no part of it. It's just sad that there isn't a higher authority that can make these two companies work together for the greater good.
