If Hopkins looks good against soft hearted guys then almost every world champion from 160-175 in the last 18 years must be soft hearted because he's fought and looked good against them all idiot. Hopkins can fight he makes everyone look bad when their not. World class guys, elite fighters. his legs and reflexes are to good even at 50. Its not his punching power or aggression thats beating all these guys. He knows the mechanics of the sport. Guys like stevenson don't have what it takes to even hit him clean never mind KO him.

Pavlik was not smaller they were identical in size. U forget Hopkins was 43 years old and spent 15 years or so at 160. If you honestly believe SIZE is what made Hopkins beat Pavlik u are a true idiot who doesn't know **** about boxing.

Dawson is not more skilled than Hopkins, he was too young for the 47 year old to handle.

Looks like HBO's gonna block B-Hop from a shot at Stevenson because of their problems with Golden Boy.... Apparently Stevenson's locked in for his next fight to be on HBO....

I guess that's good news for the rest of the Light-Heavyweights or even Super Middleweights who want a shot at Stevenson....

thats ****ing ******. I know i shouldnt be surprised as the lines seem to have been drawn gbp/showtime vs tr/hbo but this just seems ridiculous. and im not even a bhop fan. i wonder when will this stand off end

HBO is smart. They are going to marinate Ward vs. Stevenson as a megafight in Montreal.

Ward needs to get active again because he's got a slew of big paydays ahead of him:

Froch rematch
Pascal/Bute
Stevenson
Chavez Jr.

He will have a fat bank account if he can land those fights over the next 2-3 years.

The problem is HBO being butthurt because they didn't want to match or better Showtime's deal with PBF -- they were free to make the same deal or a better one, and they're taking it out on Golden Boy for not delivering Floyd at a cheaper price.

Golden Boy has no problem working with HBO or letting its fighters fight on that network, the problem is that HBO lost and is throwing a babyfit over it.
