Golovkin doesn't look like he'll need to leave middleweight anytime soon to be honest. He's normally at 162/163 a few weeks out from the fight so weight is not an issue for him at all, he could still make 154 if he had to.
Am I the only one who thing GGG might be too small for Ward?

He has made it clear that his focus is from 154-160, and his dream fight is against a welterweight. Andre Ward doesn't fit into that equation.Comment

The thing is Ward should be fighting a class up (according to him, say he feels hes outgrowing/grown 168) and GGG would essentially be moving up to fight a guy who realistically is big even at 168.
People underestimate his size (as posted) as well as Froch's. these guys are pretty f ucking big. It'd be like Martinez fighting Chavez Jr all over again...now imagine if Chavez Jr had p4p skills with that size? Lol.
GGG would be a fair sized 168 the problem is just the top 168 guys are huge at this time.
I dont think he'd have the same issue as Abraham as Ggg seems more skilled, lighter on his feet and an even harder crisper puncher. I think GGG would have a hell of a tough time with Froch but call me crazy thats a winnable fight for him. Maybe he could try his hand out at Kessler or somethin' first.Comment

I am sure Ward is a bigger man than GGG but I still think GGG has a good chance to beat Ward. GGG has the kind of two handed power that could take out a bigger man. He also has good speed and skill combined with a good chin and stamina. He would have to be a better fighter pfp to beat the naturally bigger Ward. I think he can do it but Ward will be the betting favorite if the fight happens. Ward should be the favorite at this time because of all the good fighters Ward has defeated with ease.Comment

Well he has to actually beat somebody...GOOD at Middleweight first before even thinking about going up to 168 and fighting Ward. He should only go after Ward if he cleans out 160 and it is nothing left for him at Middleweight then move up and go after Ward.
Right Now? I think Ward scores a very comfortable UD over GGG, looking good against the Average fighters in your Division does not mean your ready for Ward. Andre Ward is great at taking his opponents strengths away and he has already done it against the best of the best at 168 while GGG have yet to fight any of the Top fighters at 160...of course that is not his fault that guys like Martinez, Quillin, Chavez Jr and Geale are not really all that interested in fight GGG but still we have to see him against Top level competition in his own division before even thinking about Ward.
As for Size, Divisions go by Weight not Height, Ward is not the one challenging GGG, it is GGG fans making claim he would knock Ward out. If Ward was to call him out most people especially on this Forum would say "WHY IS HE PICKING ON SMALLER GUYS"
