It's nearly been a week since Cuba's Erislandy Lara defeated Alfredo "El Perro" Angulo in Carson, California; when Angulo refused to continue in the tenth round. Now the new WBA interim super welterweight world champion talks to BoxingScene.com about some of the things that happened before and after the fight with Angulo.

"First, I want to explain that a person came to us and told us clearly that on fight night I couldn't get into the ring with more than 10 pounds over the weight limit of our division. For that reason, we only went up to the limit of 164 pounds, but we were surprised that Angulo weighed 174 pounds that night, indicating to us that the 10 pounds limit was only for Erislandy Lara. Lara did a good thing here and called Schaffer out. What he did as well as what Arum did to Rigondeaux is disgusting and should not happen.

I would also love to hear Schaffer respond to these accusations of weight limits. Those are serious accusation and should be responded to by Schaffer and Golden Boy.

Lara is going to end up giving El Perro a rematch because it's the fight that is going to give him the most money. People are anxious to see the rematch, and you know Lara isn't going to fight Cotto or Canelo. Lets just be honest!

When I heard Lara signed with GB I was very happy for the guy cause I envisioned big things. With every passing day my feelings about him being with GB change.

Clottey went on permanent vacation the day the Pacquiao fight was signed. He took his millions and retired happily.
He isnt coming back to fight Lara.
