You're comparing jabs with power punches, almost every punch Haye throws is power and almost every punch Wlad throws is a jab. Ask any fighter or anyone that knows anything about fighting and they will all tell you that throwing power punches takes more than twice as much out of you than flicking out jab. Nobody in the division could take flush punches from Haye for long and Tyson Fury has been down against fighters with pillows, by the same punch that is probably Haye's best punch. He fights Haye, he goes to sleep.

He was up and could have continued. It was almost the end of the round. Chisora himself said it was an early stoppage. So Chisora didn't take a big punch in the fourth round and started retreating or was that just me seeing this? Pretty sure the commentators were yelling at Chisora also. Premature stoppage... That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. He'd been down twice in a minute and had just taken a massive 5 punch combo. He was shook on his feet and nobody complained about the stoppage. In fact, Don Charles was ready to throw in the towel.
But do enlighten me please.. At what stage in the fight did Chisora have Haye in trouble?
I didn't say he had him in trouble. He caught Haye with a nice left hook on the bell at the end of one of the rounds and it definitely bothered Haye. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened had the referee not prematurely ended the fight. Would Haye have been able to go at that pace for much longer?
Fury's only chance in this fight is if he takes Haye into the later rounds.Comment

The punch landed 2 seconds after the bell you idiot that's why people reacted, Haye looked tired not hurt from the punch. He was up and could have continued. It was almost the end of the round. Chisora himself said it was an early stoppage.

Chisora took aslong as possible to get up the first time and was on his back until the count of 6 the second, he barely beat the count and was still wobbly. The decision to stop it was correct, Chisora would have been put on his back again if it had continued.Last edited by Jam Jars; 06-14-2013, 11:49 AM.Comment

Looks like there was actually 10 seconds left in the round. I was at the fight so I never actually noticed that until now. Who's the idiot?Comment
