Salvador Sanchez-- his only loss was a Split Decision to Antonio Becerra in 46 fights.
Agapito Sanchez- as far as I know, stopped only by cuts and never with a punch to the chin; in 50 fights.
JCChavez- had 108 fights, lost six and I can't recall him having been KOd by a punch to the chin. Was he? I can recall that he was KDd by Frankie Randall, but I can't be certain that it was a punch to the chin.
Vicente Saldivar- suffered only one KO loss (to the devastating Eder Joffre) in 40 fights. His only two other losses were by corner retirement and cuts. Faced and won over such stars as Ismael Laguna, Sugar Ramos...
Sugar Ramos- was stopped only by Carlos Ortiz in their second meeting when he went up from Feather to Light. Their first meeting was controversial as Ref Bill Conn stopped the fight due to a little cut on Ramos. The WBC was furious, declared the title vacant, thus, the rematch. He was never stopped again until pretty late in his career that spanned 66 fights.
Daniel Zaragoza- only three of his 8 losses were by stoppages and two of those were because of cuts. Only Erik Morales KOd him.
Erik Morales- was never stopped and the only KD I can remember that he suffered is controversial.
Humberto Gonzalez- over 46 fights, stopped only thrice by Rolando Pascua, Michael Carbajal and Saman Sorjatorong (the last one was Fight of the Year- 1995
Ricardo Lopez- was down only once in his entire career (by Rosendo Alvarez, in the 2nd), racking up 51 wins, zero loss, and one draw (that Alvarez fight).
Marco Antonio Barrera- out only thrice in 66 fights. I know there are those who won't count Fana and Peden, and claim Marco has had only 64 fights, but that's another story.
Carlos Palomino- was never stopped in 38 outings, although he was knocked down by The Hands of Stone, Duran, and went on to lose by UD.
Jose Napoles- I'm not sure he qualifies as a Mexican but he lived and fought out of Mexico, although born a Cuban. Against Monzon, he refused to come out and sat on his stool, provoking some cries of, "Fix!" His other losses were due to cuts. He had 84 fights. Though called "Mantiquilla" (butter) because he was a smooth fighter, some Mexican was in him-- he often mixed it up too.
And there are the lesser known ones like Raul Perez (WBC Bantam king, 88-91 and WBA Super Bantam titlist, '91) who was not stopped until his 52nd fight, on his way to a 71- fight career. After his first stoppage (in the hands of Wilfredo Vasquez, TKO3), however, he was taken out by Genaro Hernandez (with whom he had an earlier draw), Luisito Espinosa and Hector Velasquez. The Hernandez fight was at Jr. Feather, while those of Espinosa and Velasquez were at Feather.
And there's Gabby Canizales, who is a Mexican-Am out of Laredo, TX, who suffered his one and only KO loss in the hands of Raul Perez, and was knocked down only by Miguel Lora. He had 57 fights until his retirement in 1991.
Of course, there were/are also Mexicans who went down with a slight tap. Oh, well...
Edit: Chavez has 108 WINS, 6 losses and 2 draws, for a total of 116 career fights. Sorry.
no way. i say the best chins belong to either the americans or the mexicans.
which americans do you mean, white, black, hispanic, asian, arabic, native, islander, pink, green, american is not an ethnic back ground we have been around for only 229 years as americans. not the tens of thousands that are required for an ethnic bluebrint, sorry I'm a a history major just had to say my piece not doggin

Just using your sig alone, I see one. Gatti. Unless his heart makes him appear to have a good chin.
nice point to bring up, heart chin. Lets make an example V klit never been down Danny Williams Kd alot but finishes on his feed one is more impressive than the other were danny is considered to have lots of heart its sketchy with VK. To me a good chin and heart means being able to take a licken and keep on ticken whether you got down or not, they are parts of the same whole. DW lost the VK fight do to a lack of skill and preperation not do to his chin or heart. Think like this how many fighters get KD and struggle with all their might to get up and can't, that shows a lack of chin but heart or for an extream mike tyson vs Mcbride solid chim but no heart.

and to boot most scientist that study man kind anthropoligists believe that the americas where populated by Asian peoples that crosed a land bridge into this hemasphere.
I don't believe that any one race has better chins than the others, but that dude on FNF has all of my respect, period.
That ****er was just tough ass hell, and he might have got it if he'd let his hands go lol
the average fighter back then was 1,000 times tougher than the average fighter now.
because most fighters back then had a definate lack of defence they stood in front of each other ertect with hands in front in an attack posture not a guard posture. So ya the good ones had to be tough to absorb punishment taken because of and extream lack of defencive skill. Defensive skill is what jack johnson was known for and for what JT is known for. granted at the lighter even back then there was more use of movent but for many fighters there was still somewhat of a ridged style they just bounced on there feet more.
