Calzaghe has a very underrated jab, it's a quality shot with more pop than it get's credit for, I'm not Ward goes anywhere Joe doesn't want him to. Even if Ward could get anywhere near him, look how Joe dealt with a much better Kessler on the inside, far more impressively than Ward did, Andre would get torn up.Comment

lmao @ people talking about Calzaghe like he's some mythical creature. At truly elite world class level we got to see what Joe is made of. He had all the intangibles a great fighter needs - mental toughness, relentless will.. But when it came to his actual skillset the Hopkins fight and others tell the real story. Joe's legendary ability to "adjust" came down to a simple shortening up of his punches and stepping up the pressure in classic amateur style. He would try and put gloves all over his man but without anything resembling real craft. Joe has my respect, I'll say that, but he was not on the level of an Andre Ward. Just my opinion.Comment

I disagree, I don't think he only made offensive adjustments, and this is what people miss about him, he often made defensive adjustments. He may still get hit with shots for the rest of the fight (because he was such an offensive minded fighter) but he would nullify the opposing fighters offense. Listen everyone talks about Hopkins showing up Joe's lack of skill set and technique at the highest level, and I agree to a certain extent, but Hopkins also didnt get off with much at all, and fought a fight where he really tried to steal it.lmao @ people talking about Calzaghe like he's some mythical creature. Plus for me Ward is not on the level of a Hopkins or a Jones, he is a slight level below that. I know a lot of people would disagree, but just my opinion. Its another conversation.
You could say Hopkins was past his prime when he fought Joe, which he was, and that Hopkins is not on the level f the current Ward, but then again I would say Calzaghe was also past his best at 175.
I think Ward is better, as you can see from my prediction. I just didn't agree with exactly what you said.Comment
