No, I dont think the Zaveck was a statement as it should have been. Zaveck is hardly a mediocre fighter and Thurman got his face tuned up by him. A younger Zaveck, still mediocre, or an above average fighter would have put Thurman to sleep. So far he's not proven to be the next big thing in boxing guys, just what I see so far. He beats Chaves, then he continues to KO top fighters then sure. So far what we've seen isnt impressive by any means.
That's not trolling, that's just what it is.
Like I said before, you really don't know **** about boxing.

It's all an act, the talking and everything.
Every time I've seen a vid Of Thurman talking Online, he comes across really well to me. Very Humble, seems to really enjoy the sport and just wants to put on entertaining fights and wants to fight the best out there to see how good he really is.

I'm a fan But as Thurman himself as said we will find out in due time how good he really is.

I had a long discussion with him over lunch when we were both working an amateur tourney. He told me that they propped him up to be where he is and that he feels he's not worthy of where he's at but he's marketable.

He knows the game, he knows what to say and how to say it. Really cool guy.

You can tell he has passion for the game, and that he's the type that will definitely improve on his craft.

He said he was in line to fight Marquez, but they gave it to Bradley. He also told me that Marquez is one of his idols.

Whew. Thurman was smart for passing that fight up at this very moment. He's not crafty enough to take on JMM at this time.

He's being smart and gradually moving up. He has a good head on his shoulders.

I still got all my points on a Thurman win if anyone wants to take it.

Chaves has been dropped a few times by nobodies, I've seen him fight, he just isn't on the same level as Thurman.

Keith gets made out to be just a big puncher, he's definitely much more than that.

The fight got stopped due to cuts. Berto was fading badly, and looked ripe for the picking. Berto was getting hit with crazy shots by Zaveck. Zaveck landed like 2-3 meaningful shots against Thurman in all 12 rounds.

You're one of those Boxrec warriors huh?
If you'd watched the fight you'd know it was really quite fortunate (for Zaveck; no ****) that they stopped the fight and no one here (or anywhere) really rates Berto anyway.

If you watched the Thurman v. Zaveck fight you should know that Thurman was gassing halfway through the fight and was getting caught with a lot of punches. Don't get me wrong though, I do think Thurman will beat Chaves, but he's a very raw fighter.

                    1) Are you kidding me? Watch that fight again and please tell me that Berto didn't look like he gassed HARD, and was well on his way of getting KO'd. Do you know how to watch boxing, or does it just fit your agenda to say that Zaveck was in more trouble than Berto? If you've watched enough boxing, you'd realize the momentum was shifting in Zaveck's favor, and Berto was getting hit WAY more than he should've. With Berto's track record, anyone with half a brain cell could tell he was gonna be in trouble if the fight hadn't been stopped due to cuts.

                    2) WTF are you smoking? He had an adrenaline dump during the fight, but then got his 2nd wind, and kept his foot on the gas. I believe Max Kellerman was the commentator, and he was pointing out how impressive it was for Thurman to still be landing shots with conviction throughout the whole fight, and didn't think he could do that.

EDIT: Why would you post that video? Skip to the 4th and 5th round. Berto looks like he's in a 15 round war with Zaveck. That video just proves my point. LMAO.

And you have the audacity to say that Thurman looked bad in there with the same guy? WOW.
