Keith Thurman vs Diego Chaves 2013–07–27

They are fighting in the AT&T Center, San Antonio, Texas.
Thurman looks fast, undefeated. 19 wins out of 20. 18 by KO. Thurman sounds like a big mouth douche.
Chaves has 22 wins out of 22 fights, 18 by KO. From Argentina, very hard puncher.
I'll go with Chaves. Even if Thurman could win this one, it seems to me that Chaves hits harder, is generally tougher and had more experience.

I would like Chaves to win but i think Thurman is too strong for him. This should be a great fight, the very first test for both fighters since both are hard punchers. The key for Chaves could be the speed.

Chaves just doesn't convince me. He looks pretty sloppy at times. It'll be a good win for Thurman but yea. I like how they're building up Thurman tho. Definitely earning his stripes and working his way up. Not your usual Haymon fighter who gets spoonfed TBA's.

I said before I wouldn't mind seeing Chaves winning either. Always nice to see a new country making noise in boxing.

If Thurman beats Chaves he is going to be the real deal shortly. Chaves is a wonderful fight that impales everyone with his power

Thurman is going to take it and I'll bet all my points on it.

OP, Thurman is 20 for 20, not 19 for 20. He's undefeated with 18 KOs.

Chaves is just another B level fighter. Thurman has the better record as it is.

I don't understand all the hate for Thurman?

Two power punchers should be a great fight I got Thurman winning by decision

Maybe its because he talks like a douchebag.
That press conference where he *****ed against Paulie, “you better not duck me son!” Who the *** do you think you are dude? You’re a nobody calling a real champ “son”?
Chaves has been fighthing some good opponents in his last fights and lets face it, Thurman is being spoon fed some absolute bums to build him up. He had problems with a geriatric Jan Zaveck in his last fight, maybe the only half decent one he had.
Chaves has a long way to go but by all accounts he has heart and hits like a sledgehammer, clearly harder than Thurman, and there’s some boxing skills too in that old school boxing stance of his. Seems flat footed, sure he's not flying aroung the ring, but its not as bad as some think it is. Thurman? Man, other than Zaveck, the rest of his opponents just stood there taking punches like a bag of laundry. Its hard to tell how good or bad he is.
                  Guess we’ll see.

Chavez is kinda sloppy and Thurman can box or brawl. I say Thruman wins by KO
