When I think about it sometimes I feel like boxing has become like pro wrestling in the sense of there being different rosters in different companies. It's like Top Rank is WWE, Golden Boy is WCW, & Dibella Promotions is ECW. The rest are just indy companies. It's ridiculous that boxing has come to this. Sadly, so many fights are just fantasy fights, unless a boxer switches promoters.

Sauerland and Frank Warren are closer to being ECW than Dibella is

Yeah Im to the point where I just don't expect fighters from different promo companies to ever fight each other. But I still hole out hope that some fighters will pull a Razor Ramon to Scott Hall or Diesel to Kevin Nash!

lol yeah that would be funny. The problem is a lot of fighters feel too comfortable where there at currently, so their too afraid to switch over. Pacquiao is a great example of that. He's way too comfortable with Arum to ever switch over to Golden Boy or be his own promoter like Mayweather. Pacquiao vs Mayweather is never going to happen ever now since Pacquiao is stuck with Arum until the end of 2014 I believe. I think Arum is mainly to blame for this whole mess of there being a roster split basically. I don't understand why Arum, who's in the twilight of his life still cares so much about taking in all the money. It's not like he's going to be able to take that money with him when he's gone. He's going to be a stubborn sob until the day he dies.

He would have to fight tough fighters as there's not much to cherry pick from at TR. probably get sparked by provodnikov.

Sucks that boxing is not run like other professional sports where the best fights the best kinda like how tennis goes every grand slam tourny where always the best makes it out.

Canelo probably would have fought Mosley/Cotto/ Margarito/ JCCJR/ Martinez/ and maybe pacquiao or marquez later on if he started with Top Rank

I think everyone is pretty much in agreement that the fight would not happen and its sad to think that them being under different promotional companies would be the only real reason it wouldn't happen. And now along with the showtime/GBP/HBO split this issue will seem to only grow.

If Canelo was a Top Rank fighter we would have a countdown clock for the CatchWeight King Catchweather. And what'll be funny his he'll be nowhere to be found.

If Canelo was with Top Rank then this fight wouldn't happen, obviously.
