It would be competitive somewhat, he did block punches with his face. However in his prime he had good footwork, fairly quick hands and a decent left hook. He was a decent pressure fighter. I just don't think Garcia will get to the sort of level Hatton got to.

I think Matthysse is highly over rated, but Garcia is a c class fighter and he isn't going to be champion for long.
