It amazes me how many people are unaware that a knockdown is to be ruled when the ref feels a boxer would've gone down from a punch had they not been supported by the ropes.

A standing count is when a the ref stops the action and issues a count simply because the counted fighter is in trouble.

Brinson by far was the better fighter that night but he did recieve a lot of help from the Ref that night.

It was a standing eight, he was trapped on the ropes. Also the next round they stopped the action to fix Brinson's tape
