Lara has said in 3 or 4 interviews I've read since the fight, that Angulo's power was leaving by the mid rounds. So, I will take him at his word. And I'm not sure where the impression comes from, that he folds under pressure. What I see is a fighter who, if anything, improves after he's been lit up. And, besides the Martirosyan fight, he seems to be a fighter who finds a way to win. Not a rock em sock em robots guy like Angulo. I don't think he'd beat Canelo, but he would beat Trout IMO... and that would be an interesting fight. Lara does need to fix the holes in his defense though, but he does have more power than he's given credit for by many. Steel headed Angulo was indeed stopped in his tracks a few times there. If Lara tightens his defense, he would have alot easier time in there. Not saying he gets to top P4P, but he would be a handful... without having to struggle as much.

whoever is picking ginger over Lara doesn't know $h1t about boxing, and I'll bet real money with anyone willing to put the green where his/her mouth is, Lara has fought Brewster with only 10 fights, Williams, Molina, Vanes and he is another one that quit, because the straight left was doing a lots of damage after the 5 round, Angulo (whom I think came really prepared and 10 pounds heavier, I don't read the haters writing about this, a MW fighting a LHW, maybe that's why he took the punches and had a little more steam on his) Hernandez as a matter of fact I don't think he has face a fighter with a losing record, now wtf ginger has fought that we could say he is an elite fighter, he barely won against a feather fisted Trout and you idiots acting like he just beat up Marvin Hagler

Just watched the replay of the final punches Lara threw...Angulo's eye was already pretty swollen at that point. Looks like Lara grazed him with the thumb of his thumbless glove, but it was more on the temple/massive lump already forming. No way Angulo can say it was on purpose because he was the one who bobbed out of the way causing the punch to slide off his face. Looks like the second punch (first left) really did the damage before Lara tagged him with another right and left.
As stated in the other threads, Angulo turned away, nodded, later winced when the doctor touched his face. Can't hate the guy for quitting, but his post-fight excuses thus far have been a little annoying. Guess we'll have to wait for official news on the eye...

Those of you saying Lara would have lost if not for the stoppage, look at each of there after the fight lol
And the guy who said neutralize laras left to win, every time Angelo tried Lara hit him with right hooks, im pretty sure that is what caused the stoppage in the end too.
But I hope Angulo has a good recovery and comeback as he is a good and fun fighter.
