Angulo landed 20% of his punches according to CompuBox, which is on-par for Lara (opponents usually only land 20%) and bad for Angulo (usually lands 29%). The KDs were caused by punches that Lara didn't see.

I don't want to call Perro shot because he performed really well on saturday. But yeah he's not exactly the class of the division either.

Power punched landed? What was that percentage? Because Perro isn't exactly a guy who throw jabs.

Angulo's heavy-handed, so it's no surprise a couple of the few punches he landed to the head knocked Lara down. But it's clear that Landy has good defense.

Angulo was not stopped by Lara. Angulo injured himself -- as he has the ****** habit of blocking punches with his forehead... No upper body movement, no head movement...

He looked as good as can be expected against Lara. Alfredo was obviously motivated and well-conditioned. I've said it before: the Angulo that showed up Saturday night would be tough for almost anyone in the division.

He didn't injure himself. Lara injured him n Angulo quit.

But getting stunned and getting hurt and dropped are two diffrent things. Lara is a good boxer but come on I love perro and all but the guy is limited in the skill department. Alfredo's a big puncher but the fact that he could land so many slow lumbering punchs on Lara exposed some serious defensive flaws in Erislandy!
I'm not dis*****g none of that. I'm simply pointing out to the other poster that Angulo did get stunned.

Nothing about Lara's defense was exposed. The only thing that was exposed was his inside game which people already knew about. You can tell he's inexperienced in that department. He actually clinched a couple of times but instead of letting his free hand go he was just there waiting for the ref to break it up.

To his credit, sometimes he would use the shoulder bump to push Angulo off but not enough. He would also throw the right hook and spin out.

Perro landed 31% (134/426) of his power shots and only 3% (9/278) of his jabs. Majority of those power shots were on the inside.
