Exactly. I was debating with my cousin all night about this. How the hell can a thumb do that? Lol. Makes no sense.Comment

i dont think the thumb broke the orbital bone. maybe angulo got caught in the eye with the thumb. the damage was already done and accumulating with every straight left that lara landed and the thumb to the eye was just too much to handle on top of all the blows to the area. Idk well see what the doctors say. But cong**** to lara for the win very good fight while it lasted. Hope cotto was watchingComment

That was no thumb. It was an accumalation of punches and that eye might have been tender already by the lat time he got hit.Comment

There was as much thumb from Lara as there was headmovement from Angulo.
If you have a giant head and you plod forward, you'll get your face broken up by a quality fighter like Lara.
Saying that, all those comments about how Lara had never been down - something commentators always make a big deal of - and he goes down on 2 good-but-not-brutal punches. Obviously the reason he hadn't been down is the talent gap and not because he's tough. Canelo will spark him.Comment

WAsn't confirmed that Lara was using thumbless gloves? I mean, the glove has a thumb on it but its sewn into the glove so you really can't say that he intentionally stuck out his thumb to break his eye...more thumb crap coming from Virgil.Comment

That's the thing, it shouldn't even be debatable. Its common sense... LolOriginally posted by Nocaut29Quote:
