I'm not a Dawson fan and I think he's a little overrated. He beat Johnson/Tarver/B-Hop, but has yet to beat someone that can match his youth and athleticism. However, I won't say he's finished just yet cuz I think Adonis is better than others do. Getting caught by a puncher with something you don't see coming in the first round will ruin your night before it even starts. Let's see what happens in his next couple of fights.

        Dawson is done.....
Everybody says the weight loss was the reason for the ward beatdown, and thats a fair statement...
But that doesnt mean the damage done to the brain is going away when he goes back to 175..
Dawson's marbles are scrambled.... He is done as a top guy.... He may stick around and fight but he will be a shell of himself and be just like jermain Taylor.....

I see dawson selling out and taking a payday in england vs cleverly

He's done; he's not built to deal with adversity say a B-Hop

That is very reactionary considering Chad IMO schooled Hopkins in their second fight. He can make adjustments like when he fought Adamek but he has to stop with the concentration lapses that another poster mentioned. When Chad is focused and at his correct weight he is world class. He fought with too much anger against Stevenson and thats not his style. In a rematch Chad outclasses him.

Chads done as a world class fighter. It has nothing to do with his skill either, going DOWN to fight Ward pretty much damaged him.

He fought with too much anger!!!!!
How the hell do you know that.. The fight was a minute long and all they did was jab for range finders... Dawson didnt even throw a meaningful punch...

Dawson's brain is done... He cant handle punches...... Ward scrambled his brain and dawson will never be the same..

Even when Dawson was at his best I had always thought a big puncher like this would take him out. He'd been dropped and rocked in the past before he was weight drained. The loss to Pascal was a surprise this one was coming. He's always had a questionable chin.

Dawson's style and physical attributes are the reasons why he beat B-Hop imho, and I think he'd beat him again if they fought. B-Hop fights at a slow pace, isn't as fast and is at a reach disadvantage. Dawson being capable of beating B-Hop shouldn't be a surprise.

Adonis isn't cagey and experienced like B-Hop, but he can match Dawson's physical attributes. Dawson could out-match B-Hop with athleticism and length, but Adonis is just as athletic and has the same reach. He's also aggressive and has confidence in his power. Dawson had issues with Pascal's aggression, so I knew that Adonis would pose an issue. However, Adonis did what Pascal couldn't and got a decisive W.
