Dawson will never be at the top level again. The reason is this. He had so much natural talent that took him to the top. Once there he became so vain, he thought he could do what he wanted and it would all be easy.

The writing was on the wall though. After the Pascal fight, he was bitter, blamed the ref, blamed his trainer, pointing his finger at everyone. After all, he was Chad Dawson. How could he possibly do something wrong?

A couple wins later he thinks he can go down 7 lbs and challenge Ward. He probably does not train enough, sweats off most of the weight, was hurt in sparring, but demanded his easy work fight against ward. They get him to the weight, he gets his a$$ handed to him as he does not even appear to be focused not only in the fight, but even the ring entrance. Of course it is not his fault. Fires his trainer, blames the weight loss, points more fingers.

Then comes last night. Had to google his "opponent" to find out who he was. Took him lightly, considered him nothing more than a tuneup to make him look good. Promptly gets starched. Blames the ref, probably blames Montreal, his trainer, his wife and kids also. He will not blame himself though. Not Chad Dawson. He probably googled Stevenson again after the fight last night to make sure everyone around him was not lying to him.

To that i say. Good Riddance.

As a new P4P star, Stevenson (ex-pimp) would look for big purse fights -- which poor Chad will never be able to provide again.

Dawson should fight Manny P. at a catch weight - they match!

I did kinda feel sorry for the guy but this is boxing, **** happens! The guy just made some dumb moves that hurt his career bad! 1st one was moving down to take on ward and the second was underestimating Stevenson!

You gotta be smart outside the ring as well as inside the ring!

I'm tired of refs not letting the champion get a fighting chance. Dawson got caught. It wasn't even on the chin. Let the man fight for christ's sake. Yeah it might have got stopped shortly after, but ****, give it a chance. We've all seen crazier stuff in the ring. ****in Canadians. Oh and 50 cent needs to get his ugly face out of the boxing scene. Too bad one of those bullets didn't hit his heart. He's a skid mark for boxing.

Funny that everyone ringside loved the stoppage when it happened. All of the HBO crew etc. Dawson had no legs and didn't even have the ability to raise his hands up. His whole body language was telling us he was done. He would not stop blinking his eyes, which also tells us he was probably seeing double. Yeah **** the Canadians for possibly saving him from another monstrous punch that could end his career or life.

Dawson won't get the rematch ... On RDS website from Montreal it was written that Shaw prefered to have a partnership in the next Adonis fight instead of a rematch clause. It also stated that Yvon Michel would buy that option out to be ''free'' ...

I agree he's the champ, give him a chance to get his legs back! I've seen guys get rocked like that and the ref gave them chances to fight back but to call a title fight in the 1st round come on!

An 50 cent is a snake! Floyd realized what that chump was trying to do and dropped his a*s! Another smart thing Floyd has done!

No way the ref should have let that fight go on...

Chad couldnt stand in one place, was sliding sideways against the ropes, couldnt raise his hands,,
And if the ref would have let it continue, Adonis would have thrashed a defenseless Dawson probably causing horrible damage to chad..
