As for if that makes Canelo special, we'll haveta see after he's fought a few more top guys post Floydie.
When he said SRR is considered the best because he took on everybody, I though he was talking about Sugar Ray Robinson, not Sugar Ray Leonard.

Nothing in your post makes any sense. Who has Floyd whined about fighting? Absolutely no one. There is nothing special about Alvarez, unless you consider hype special. Alvarez won't even rank among Mayweather's top 10 biggest tests. Mayweather's biggest tests were Diego Corrales at 130 and Castille at 135. In terms of testing Mayweather, Alvarez will rank below Henry Brussels and Sharmba Mithchell in that department.

And, as far as SRL talking on everybody....nonsense. SRL avoided Aaron Pryor, the champion at 140, like he was the plague. Pryor begged Leonard for a fight for years, but Leonard refused. In fact, it was rumored that SRL moved up one weight division in the amateurs to avoid facing Pryor at the Olympic trials.

Go ask every fighter and trainer out there about where Floyd is , its only fanboys like yourself that carry on about ATG and who is the best which is nothing but a hype driven held opinion being argued by fanboys where the vast majority have never stepped foot in a boxing ring .

All that matters is that Floyd is a very special fighter , the legacy and the history will take care of itself , it aint over yet !

Leonard had a retina problem and a drug addiction, hence the inactivity but he beat the best, nuff said.

We can thank Showtime for this fight and showtime only. Canelo wanted it, showtime loves him, and showtime guarantees floyd's $32 million. I only wish HBO had been this proactive to getting Mayweather VS Pacquaio done...we would've had that fight years ago. Props to Canelo though..at 23, with his popularity and his belts to risk it all to fight the best speaks volumes about the kid. Can't honestly call it a cash out because he's pretty much better off financially than 90% of active and retired boxers already.
