I think Maidana has shown a lot of positive improvements under Garcia.
He's picked up a lot of boxing skills and I liked how he utilised the jab. He did get hit way too often tonight and seemed to switch off at times but he also slipped ALOT of punches that people around here seemed to miss completely. He also displayed a lot of accurate combinations.
I like how Maidana is transitioning from a crude and simple brawler to more of a boxer-puncher type. Look forward to seeing his next fight.Last edited by GG Magic; 06-08-2013, 11:53 PM.

Good win for Maidana. IMO Lopez had this one in the bag until he got caught pulling straight back.

Like the new skills Maidana has been utilizing. Before he was a ****er throwing shots when he wanted. Now his carefully picking his power punches, setting it up with jabs. Definitely like the new Maidana.

That was a hell of a fight. I thought the stoppage was a little early though. He was messed up, but I don't think he was done quite yet.

Angulo got injured but put on a great show, and showed that Lara is not invincible. Josesito put on another great show and stood toe to toe with Maidana. Not a lot of guys (ask Ortiz) can do that.
It wasn't a bad night for Mexicans. In boxing sometimes you win sometimes you lose.
