I think Maidana has shown a lot of positive improvements under Garcia.

He's picked up a lot of boxing skills and I liked how he utilised the jab. He did get hit way too often tonight and seemed to switch off at times but he also slipped ALOT of punches that people around here seemed to miss completely. He also displayed a lot of accurate combinations.

I like how Maidana is transitioning from a crude and simple brawler to more of a boxer-puncher type. Look forward to seeing his next fight.

Just had the craziest idea. If young Mr Broner really wanted to make a statement in 2013. Fighting Maidana later this year would do just that.

I was thinking the same thing. Maidana fights Paulie or Broner later this year.

Man what a fight i thought Maidana was finished after 4th round, looked like he gave up but you have to give him credit he looked like man possessed in rounds 5 and 6.

I knew power would be the difference as Lopez was never going to fight defensive for 12 rounds, i like Lopez so i'm sad for hum but El Chino deserved it.

Maidana deserves winner of Pauline and Broner, or at the worst the Thurman vs Chaves winner and then a title **** after that if he wins.

Maidana is vulnerable and definitely doesnt like it to the body but he has amazing recuperating ability and he's one of those fighters who seems to be more dangerous when hes hurt. Great win for chino! Cant wait for his next fight

damn, maidana is low key slick. always seems like he's being caught flush with every punch while you're watching the fight in real time but dude is very slippery when the replays are shown. very impressed with his defensive and offensive game again tonight. he just doesn't like those body shots.
