I like Lara more than I did before the fight, as well as Angulo. The first fight of the card was a dud, but the last two delivered some fantastic action.
    Good post...!

I think the key to beat Maidana is that body man, he really doesn't like to get hit there and folds when he does but Lopez was trying to prove he was the **** and going more to the head after he had him and Maidana just came back with a vengeance after he caught his breath back and blew him away.

Gamboa's chin has been tested a bit.. though I need to see it against a top notch boxer/puncher. He's beaten some good fighter I won't lie, but I need to see him under a little bit more fire to make a determination about him. So far so good.

Same for Lara, same for Maidana. Maidana has been through it before, but for some reason he made me a fan last night. Lara made me a fan also. He laughed after the first knockdown, and wasn't smiling after the second. He did wink as if saying, I got this".

Now I need to see Matthysse and GG under this pressure. I don't want to hear that "they are indestructible" gibberish. Everyone in this game has been hurt at one point or another. If you are facing the best that is.

Matthysse didn't go balls out against Alexander or Judah. He fought hard, but he stood still a lot in those two fights posing. He was a bit hesitant. When he eventually gets seriously hurt, we will find out what kind of heart he has. Same for GG.

Their day will come. Three of them passed these hurt tests, and two have not been truly hurt yet. Those hurt fights are coming.

Nobody likes a body shot. Most fighters hide being hurt by a good body shot.

I think Garcia is capable of buzzing LM, but I think it's gonna take a puncher like Quillin to hurt 3G. Mack has respectable power, but he has the experience that Quillin doesn't have.

I missed Rigondeaux. I need to see how he fights hurt. He's been down or wobbled and passed, but against who? I need that Rosendo Alvarez to Ricardo Lopez...that Duran to Leonard...that Frazier to Ali type opponent/hurt. It makes you a better fighter.

Every fighter will face it at some point, the important thing is coming through it and doing what needs to be done to win.

Rigo has been wobbled to come back and utterly dominate, he was also dropped by Donaire to come back and smash him in the next two rounds. Gamboa and Lara have also been dropped, to then respond very well...all good on that front.

GGG won't get that type of test until he fights a good fighter, of his own size. I expect he won't crack under pressure.

I'm talking about Gamboa, Maidana, Lara, Matthysse, Gennedy Golovkin, and Rigondeax. Sure they had a fight here and there where they went through some adversity, but how many times have they done it?

I need a full career of this, not a moment.
