    It's about time these fighters

have been put under some pressure. They are given props so easily by their fans. It's a good thing for them and the fans. Now you see what some of these great champions have been going through for a long time only to rise to the occassion.

I'm talking about Gamboa, Maidana, Lara, Matthysse, Gennedy Golovkin, and Rigondeax. Sure they had a fight here and there where they went through some adversity, but how many times have they done it?

I need a full career of this, not a moment.

...............I've lost interest in watching Gamboa, he had an opponent tonite who was perfect to highlite his skills and wasted an hour of my time running around the ring!! Its NOT boxing its RUNNING! Won't watch that mistake again!

congrates to Stevenson for taking the Title!!! Ray

I agree Well Rigondeaux is an exception because one he beat the kingpin with 12 fights and 2 that moment was supposed to be his execution even his promoter thought was throwing him to the wolves and **** on him after he won so that was pretty sweet and who the fk is going to want to fight him after that . But i agree they should keep fighting good opposition. But when you start at the top is hard to go any higher like Rigo did other than that agreed good coming out party for Lara.

I want to see these fighters fight through adversity and win. I don't want to read about the props.

It's time that they fought through adversity and won. I'm not talking about moments where we criticize them for being hit and then they win.

Maidana has made me a fan. He was hit hard by Khan and Lopez and fought through it. He lost one and won one. I'm a fan.

As a fight fan, certain fights make you a fan of certain fighters. You're a Homer fan of Maidana, so you wouldn't understand my point.

Angulo brought it like I knew he would, consistent face-first pressure. You either fold him or he folds you. These are the types of fights that build character, the ones where you're taken out of your comfort zone and have to fight on another person's terms. I like Lara more than I did before the fight, as well as Angulo. The first fight of the card was a dud, but the last two delivered some fantastic action.

Maidana has been badly beaten up in numerous fights, came back to win some of them with great heart and willpower and lost a tough great fight with Khan.

Only big fight he looked bad in was vs Devon, but Devon Held all night and was a horrible spoiler and a bad match up for him. (plus 1st fight at 147)
