Im not simply defending either guy. I am defending the nature of the sport and human physics. Im not saying a well conditioned fighter dropping 7 lbs wont have an effect. But big punches happen too. It happens.

I agree. The fight didnt go long enough for Dawson to display any kind of effects from the weight. In my opinion he was looking okay but he just got caught. It happens in boxing. They just need to do a rematch and see if Dawson can get his belt back. The question is now that it shows that he can be knocked out by stevensons hook, will he be able to avoid that punch for 12 rounds in the rematch?

Dawson is starting to remind me of Tarver. Looking too relaxed and flatfooted as if over confident or uninterested on a regular basis. Tarver-Jones 1 is the last time Tarver showed passion. I cant remember the last time Dawson showed his passion in the ring vs fighter as if his jab and skill will simply be enough.

It was a good shot. I think everybody's over thinking this. We should talk less about why it happened, but what should happen now.

No one has gone the distance with Stevenson since 2007 (and that was only 10 rounds).
