Angulo did quit in a literal sense, but who cares?

He stopped fighting for the sake his health wether he wanted to or not. His career was on the line. Who knows if he'll recover 100% even after stopping.

I'm sure he couldn't give 2 fucks if a bunch of cunts behind their computer screens call him a quitter.

Yes, Angulo quit. And to me, a quit is a quit meaning I see this the same as Duran-Leonard or Ortiz-Maidana.

I say this because I want to hold fighters who get injured during a fight to the same standard and other fighters in the past have shown to fight through the pain of broken hands, jaws, orbitals, dislocated shoulders, etc. and I believe you have to compare Angulo to those fighters.

Yes, Angulo was smart to quit, I would've done the same thing if I was him, but other fighters have been in a critical situations like that before who chose to continue.

You need to look up the definition of the word "quit" because that's exactly what Angulo did. And like most people, I think that there was nothing wrong with that decision, Angulo had a second head growing.

I think you should have argued whether the quitting was justified or not because there is absolutely no denying the fact that he did in fact quit.

what he did was justifiable, but he quit. there's no other way of describing the act of turning away in a pro boxing match. you're asking the ref to stop the fight.

This poster recognizes my point. In any other sport, an injury is an injury. When it happens in boxing, it's "he quit". No, he didn't quit. He walked away because his health was on the line. I can accept that he walked away from the fight because of health reasons. I can't accept that he quit. Not boxing quit. Feel me lol...

So no other boxer in history has ever quit because they all are either in extreme pain or are thinking about their health! All justifiable then!

If you ever meet Angulo...walk up to him and say, "Hey Gu, why did you quit homey". You might receive a kind answer.
