There is no bigger fight on the boxing horizon than the September 14 super fight between WBA/WBC junior middleweight champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and welterweight and junior middleweight titlist Floyd Mayweather.

Set to go down inside of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Mayweather’s skills, cunning, and experience will meet up with the youth, strength and power of Alvarez in a fight that looks to be an excellent matchup up on paper.

However, while most view the 22-year old Alvarez as an extremely legitimate challenge to Mayweather, veteran HBO unofficial ringside judge Harold Lederman seems a little less smitten.

DLH has used every excuse in the book for his loss to Floyd. He claims he was old. He claims he was mentally prepared. He claims he got tired and forgot the jab. Etc, etc, etc. The reality is, he was being moderately successful against Floyd in the first third of the fight working behind a jab and roughing Floyd up. The fight turned completely around in the 5th when Floyd landed a beautiful counter right over the top of a DLH jab that buckled and nearly dropped Oscar. And from that point on, Oscar no longer wanted to throw his jab and at that point became content letting Floyd pot shot him from a safe distance.

That's what a business man would say, Oscar is a funny a dude. I think Lederman brought on an interesting discussion. I say wait till Canelo doesn't even have anywhere near the same success Oscar did. Canelo might have the offense, right hand that Oscar lacked, but he doesn't have Oscar's legs, even if Oscar was 34.

STOP DUCKING MARTINEZ FRAUD HE'll FIGHT U AT 154

I don't want to see a weight drained flat footed Alvarez against Gayweather. I waited and Fraud has ducked for years the real p4p king "The 0 Taker" Sergio Martinez Fraud don't want to fight slick fast experienced boxers with KO power like Martinez or PAC reasons why he chose Blake Griffin for his next fight who has a fan base but doesn't have the experience. This bitcch has a belt at 154 and wants to drain Alvarez to 152 meanwhile contradict himself about PAC with a catch weight fight. Martinez offered him a 80/20 split and Fraud said no.

You have no idea what you're talking about. You're one of those guys that watches a fight and thinks he done seen it all through the crystal ball.

Martinez couldn't make 154 even if he went on a d*ck diet. Not to mention the fact...have you seen your boy fight lately? He's on the down slope.

DeLahoya is right, Canelo will be a tougher fight. People are assuming Floyd will coast in this fight because Floyd has always been successful against the Hattons, Marquez' and so on and so on. This is a different level of opponent than Guerrero.

I understand how the majority will ride with a winner who has always come through in the past. There comes time when the old champion meets his match and loses. Few see it coming. This is Mayweather's time to lose. I don't think Mayweather really wanted this fight. He kind of had to take it because he has a reputation of ducking, which made it harder for him to refuse. The Guerrero fight was not successful, financially, so the promoters wanted a fight with a lot more fan interest, and Canelo will generate that.

The stamina issue is being exaggerated because Floyd will not pressure him. I am going to act as though 2 pounds won't make a difference. We'll see. But this is not "Easy Money." Not this time.

And after the way Martinez has looked in his last two fights. If Floyd fights him and kicks his ass, you'll proceed to put him in the group with Mosley and Cotto as figthers who Floyd, "wouldn't fight until they got all." LOL

I think the one advantage Canelo is going to have on Oscar is size/strength. That's the one tool he has to make this fight interesting IMO.
