Is Chad Dawson going to become the next Jermaine Taylor

Chad dawson has been in alot of tough fights,, and in his last fight he took a serious beating form Ward... Once your punch resistance gives, it becomes easier for guys to knock you down and out.... Facing a big puncher like stevenson, and noticing that Dawson's speech is not like it use to be,, Im concerned that he may end up like Taylor and that he will hang in fights and then get ko'd.. I saw an interview with him from a few months ago and his speech was getting worse...

Do you guys think he could be the next taylor and get knocked down with every hard shot... Im interested to see him vs stevenson because if chad is damaged goods he will get brutalized by stevenson

No, they arent similar. Dawson hasnt taking alot of punishment other than Ward but it wasnt like he got brutalized. Ward isnt a big puncher and Dawson didnt get beat to a pulp. He also has always had a bit of a speech impediment.

If he becomes punchy then it would be more like Roy Jones in that he never recovered from the drastic weight loss. Taylor took monster shots against Pavlik and got brutalized in that fight. He's also been caught before with some big shots. Dawson not so much

He took a LOT of heavy shots in the first Johnson fight. He also absorbed massive shots against Pascal.

Yeah dawson has taken his far share of shots and has been around along time fighting at the elite level..
Didnt adamek floor him.. plus the johnson fight, and pascal fight, not to mention he got hit by tarver and hopkins a few times... Plus countless blows in sparring
Never took a horrible beating till ward....
I just think his punch resistance is gone and stevenson may be strong enough to hurt him..
Dawson and manny are the 2 fighters i wanna see most just to see how much they have left....

Chad is nothing like taylor. He has more skills, smarts, better chin (being drained robs you of punch resistance), more dedicated etc..

I really see nothing in common with these guys. Taylors fate was due to lack of dedication which lead to poor stamina and declining skills. It all caught up with him.

Dawson is as hungry as ever and has always been much better than taylor ever was. As for his speech, its just like its always been. I think he might have had a speech impediment growing up, just listen to some of his early interviews. Thats just how he speaks.

Dawson may never recover from the ward fight,,, Yes dropping to 168 probably caused him to have a weaker chin than normal. But his brain did get rattled...
Even at 175, once the brain gets rattled he may be in trouble... Stevenson will test him with his power...
Kinda like Rid**** bowe always had a great chin but then was dropped by Golata several times and the brain was never the same.....

I hope Dawson comes out and dominates Stevenson, but i am worried about him
