But Pac's ego and delusion got in the way, and that was that. I agree with you though. Bob is the #1 reason why this fight has not happened and perhaps will never happen until maybe these guys are 40 and over the hill. Think Leonard/Hearns 2 or Leonard/Camacho, or Leonard/Duran 3....or any of the recent Roy Jones Jr. fights.
He's under contract with Arum so he can't just tell Arum to get bent and go do his own thing unless he wants to get sued. But he shouldn't have signed with Arum again in the first place.

damn imagine that. no filler "duck OSDT/mayweather" fights. would've gone straight into a schooling by floyd.

I don't think it will ever happen. Mayweather would only agree to the fight if he got most of the money so Pacquiao would probably make more money fighting someone else. The promoter feud and the Showtime HBO feud and Pacquiao not fighting in the states all make this fight highly unlikely to ever happen.

pac just can't leave top rank when he wants. it's called a contract. 40 million after he pays arum is a normal payday for pac. it was a ridiculous offer to fool simple minded people. omg 40 million take it! except when you actually do the math...yea totally unreasonable.

actually it was floyd. 100-0 ppv split and his fake testing demands. it was never the testing as we found out. no one changes their demands that drastically and wants to fight. especially after going on a take the test media tour. he bluffed and paid the price.

There was a point where he was a big enough star that he could have forced Arum's hand, because Arum needed Manny and what he brought him. What could Arum have done if Manny said Floyd or no one else, except meet the demands because he couldn't make Manny fight.

                      That ship has sailed though~
