I almost expect it to happen at this point. Seriously. Like at the very end of Floyd's 6 fight deal I think. Even a broken down shell of himself Pac would still bring Floyd as big a payday (if not biggest) that he could find.

Of course the boat was missed years ago when it was actually relevant but I still wouldn't be surprised in the least if it goes down at some point.

We all know boxing is about the bottom line and anybody would be crazy to think that the casuals still won't empty their pockets for this one, even if it is 5 years too late.

I dont see Floyd skipping out on the Showtime deal just to give Pacquiao a payday. Didnt Arum just say Manny will never fight in the US again?

After 4 or 5 fights Pacs contract with TopRank is over...and he will still need money cause Arum is screwing him big time...it could be that May - Pac is the last fight for both.

Koncz: Door not closed on Mayweather-Pacquiao

            by Lem Satterfield

            Jun 5th, 2013

Should Manny Pacquiao have "an exciting and impressive win" over once-beaten contender Brandon Rios, and Floyd Mayweather Jr. defeat RING 154-pound champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, the Filipino star would still be open to a bout with Mayweather, said Pacquiao's advisor, Michael Koncz.

Mayweather meets Alvarez on Sept. 14 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, while Pacquiao takes on Rios on Nov. 23 in Macau (Nov. 24 in China).

Pacquiao is trying to rebound from consecutive losses to WBO welterweight titleholder Tim Bradley in June, and Juan Manuel Marquez in December.

"Right now, Manny's focused on Brandon Rios, but Floyd is always a possibility. We've always said that we would fight Floyd," said Koncz.

"I think that Manny will have to have an impressive win in light of comments that Floyd has made about Manny losing his last two fights, and I think that if Manny has an exciting and impressive win come Nov. 24, then Floyd won't have any excuse if he really wants to fight."

Marquez and Bradley elected to fight each other -- instead of Pacquiao -- on Oct. 12 at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas.

"In my personal opinion, with my time spent with Manny, I don't think that Bradley or Marquez are anywhere in his memory banks," said Koncz. "We gave them an option, and we were intending to pay then fairly, and they chose not to fight us, so that's their loss, not ours."

Mayweather, whose past differences with Pacquiao over drug testing contributed to failed negotiations for a megabout, has employed random drug testing by the United State Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for his past four victories: Shane Mosley by unanimous decision, Victor Ortiz by fourth-round knockout, and both Miguel Cotto and Robert Guerrero by unanimous decision.

Pacquiao and Rios have contractually agreed to be randomly drug tested by The Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA).

"Manny came out and said that he would agree to the testing, and that he would give Floyd a 60-40 split," said Koncz, who also does not believe that Mayweather's multi-fight deal with Showtime -- Pacquiao has mostly fought on HBO -- will be a factor. "Manny's not tied to to any network, so if the fans still want to see this fight, we're willing to do it."

As long as arum is his promoter it ain't happening. Arum won't be able to control everything he will have to play second fiddle to two of his ex fighters. And when the pay comes out people will see how much he's robbing PAC. He doesn't want golden boy and fmj seeing the books and exploiting it to their advantage to get more of his boxers to jump ship, by showing his business practices in regards to his boxers. And I'm sure odh and Floyd and Schaffer would love nothing more than to take bob down. If Floyd makes 80mil and PAC only receives about 30mil people will start asking questions as to where did pac's money go. There is no way that PAC shouldn't have close to or equal to the amount of money that Floyd has, except for bob. Taxes take 40% and bob takes at least 35-40% what does that leave PAC after he pays roach and others in training expenses?

This is exactly why Pac should have taken Floyd's 40 million dollar offer (20 million up front shipped next day) and told Bob to stand down for a fight then resume his commitment to Bob after the Floyd fight. But Pac's ego and delusion got in the way, and that was that. I agree with you though. Bob is the #1 reason why this fight has not happened and perhaps will never happen until maybe these guys are 40 and over the hill. Think Leonard/Hearns 2 or Leonard/Camacho, or Leonard/Duran 3....or any of the recent Roy Jones Jr. fights.

Let Manny come back blasting out his opposition and regaining his titles, then Mike can talk. 'Til then leave it alone.

YEah well he should have been open to it in 2010 when it was at the height of it's relevance, instead he ran away to fight Clottey. He could have gotten 50% of a 3 million PPV buy fight, now he may get 35-40% of a 2 million PPV fight IF it happens
