Comments Thread For: DeGale: If I Beat Carl Froch, His Career is Finished!

JAMES DEGALE aims to learn from the best when he comes face-to-face with a man who knows about beating Carl Froch.

The Londoner defends his WBC silver super-middleweight title against Croatian Stjepan Bozic, at Bluewater, in Kent, on Saturday night.

And DeGale, who says he wants to meet IBF and WBA champ Froch in a major domestic dust-up, knows he will have his work cut out against rugged veteran Bozic.

The 38-year-old has won 26 of his 32 professional bouts but it was while he was in the amateur ranks that he put paid to Froch’s Olympic dreams.

He defeated him in the quarter-finals of the European Championships in Finland as Froch’s bid to make Team GB for the Sydney Olympics faltered and eventually collapsed. [Click Here To Read More]

Like most people who sign with Hennessy, Degale's career has gone stale, he is fighting an unknown guy with six losses. If he wants to fight Carl Froch he has to do something to get his name out there.

Calling out Froch constantly is surely part of that, no? Tyson Fury is under Hennessy and is close to securing the Haye fight.

DeGale has been keeping busy, this is his second fight in six weeks I believe. Hopefully he slowly climbs towards a mandatory position.

I said most. Tyson Fury would still be in the public eye under most promoters, although Mick has done a good job with him. I like Degale but he needs to get his name back in the papers.

Id love james to humble carl.

Even a robbery would be good for james (carl robs james sd).

James would have to put on his running shoes for sure, and the robot froch would follow around the ring.

Angry dirrell (after losing point) hurt froch, best punch of the fight.

Id like to see froch face both groves and degale, his kind of in calz position, he could say no and face some aged people overseas

Beat Groves Chunky. He doesn't deserve Froch. Nobody cares about this idiot.

If Froch fight DeGale right next it's DeGale who would end his career.
Carl will walk through James like butter -- easier than he did with Bute.
(How Carl deals with a slow southpaw? Jab-jab-jab, straight right...)

James Degale is deluded using the word 'IF' - 'if' is a wonderful word if I could if I could do that if I could do that - Degale don't use the word 'IF' actually fight a decent fighter then open your gob - the only decent fighter you fought was Groves and he beat you - so shove off with that 'IF' word.

Where'd you pull that shit from?

Hennessy got a deal with channel 5 for fuck sake, look at Fury's progression, Eubank Jr fought 8 times last year, DeGale is fighting at a good level.

Oh, did you forget DeGale fought less than 3 weeks ago in Canada? Get a fucking clue, seriously.

I honestly think George Groves would win a clear decision if he fought DeGale again. Groves has come on leaps and bounds since their first fight. If he can't beat Groves, he has NO chance of beating Froch. Carl would annihilate him.
