I hate it for Donaire. Nobody wants to see him fight anyone but Rigondeaux. He's got to take the next year and get ready for a Rigo rematch. I don't advise it now. He's gotta fight this guy again and give a hearty effort (risk the KO if need be). He doesn't neccessarily have to win, but he's got to get that respect back or he's done.

Before the rigo fight i had high regards for donaire but guillermo made him look bad. Now they're talking about darchinyan?? Really? No one wants to see this. If you look at this fight as a tune-up that's fine but he either needs to rematch rigo or if he's gonna move up maybe fight jhonny gonzalez or salido.Last edited by PulpFriction; 06-06-2013, 12:37 PM.

Nonito can take everybody at 126
so sick and tired of this TR-GB feud
Nonito-Mares shoulda been made when the chance was there
Nonito has to reestablish himself after the Rigo debacle
think Nonito beats down Mikey if they fight, edges a war with Mares
wouldn't mind Nonito-Johnny either

I'm actually glad Nonito lost to Rigo. The loss did a lot of things that I'm happy about. For one, made me realize who in these forums only d*ck rides when people are on the up and up and showed their true colors after ONE loss. Now I can have a decent conversation with the real mother****ers when he gets his feet back on the ground.
Every boxer has the ONE dude who just has their number no matter how prepared or unprepared they are to face them (i.e. Salido to Juanma, Marquez to Pacman (and vice versa), Pacman to Mayweather (that one we'll never know LMAO)) and maybe Rigo was probably just that to Nonito. No shame in that..that's the name of the game.
Although no excuses are valid, I'm one who firmly believes that Nonito did not come in to this fight mentally or physically prepared and after a few rounds of that boxing lesson, he knew he blew it in preparation and desire. He was riding on a high from having such a good run in 2012 that made him feel invisible and he paid the price for not listening to his own wisdom I heard him mention in an interview a few fights ago in that he lost the will to stay hungry.
I believe he didn't lose to Rigo, he lost to himself.
Now that he's back down to earth with the rest of us, I'd like him to get a fight or two with easy prey for a confidence buildup, then if he can actually make the weight, I'd like to see a rematch to see if it was a fluke or not. If not, this man better start figuring out a way to break contracts because this **** with Top Rank vs. GBP is killing this fighter's career.
Top Rank is my favorite Promotion company as I still believe they are the best when it comes to grooming fighters to stardom, but there are ALOT of fighters who Donaire still needs to fight so he can secure his place in Boxing history and as much as I hate to say it, right now GBP holds the cards in this place and time.

"I'm not making any excuses but..."
This posture by Donaire (and his fans) indicates denial. Some people have yet to accept the fact that the 2012 Fighter of Year got outclassed in almost every aspect of the sport by a highly skilled professional in Rigondeaux.
