I agree he needs to step up his game - they have been protecting him since his loss to Groves which everyone thought he was going to win comfortably but was exposed - his level of opposition has been weak and I thought he would of stepped it up by now but has'nt - Degale will be another one of these fighters that had a decent amateur career but not a succeesful pro career not all fighters can do both - Carl would KO him within 5 rounds but Degale has not earned the right for this payday come on James if you are the real deal fight a decent fighter but all know when you do that you will lose.

My first instinct tells me, tells me I don't think so Degale. But then thinking for a while it changes, yes id like to see if Degale can do what he says he could do and that he could make it interesting while not winning.

Same thing when JC was about to retire and Froch was on JCs coat tails begging for a chance, and now we see it again with Degale wanting his time against Froch.
Lets see if Froch can take the challenge though, he may have sympathy for Degale and give him his break, but it seems that Froch is only looking for career defining fights. So its a hard situation for Degale.

Degale should just focus on trying to work his way up.

He's fighting on European level at the moment and not looking great.

Talking is great and you can't blame him despite the fact he's obviously not living in reality at this moment in time.

He should focus on getting that fight with Bika if he wins the vacant title.

As for the actual fight? Froch destroys him.
