Andre Ward: "Froch not top of my list"

The one thing Ward is right about is that Froch really doesn't have any more options than he does.
Yes a third Kessler fight would do well, but there would be plenty of issues to agree upon if they were to fight again and if it were to land at a neutral venue how would that affect the overall $$ generation?
Even if it happens a third Kessler fight is a step sideways for Froch and a losing proposition in that he would gain nothing in winning (cept $$) and would lose a lot if he were beaten.
A fight with Bernard Hopkins would be worse than a Ward fight (excitement wise) and getting one or the other to travel for that would be a hang up.
A fight with George Groves is a joke everywhere outside of Nottingham and wherever Groves lives.
Not many would expect him to beat Ward, or hold a loss against him, so if he were to fight him again and lose he would really just be right back to where he was beforehand in terms of the fights/money available.Comment

Ward still playing his little games.
He doesn't have anyone else apart from Froch to fight, where as Froch has a lot more options. He could move up to 175 and campaign there, which is probably the best thing to do but he's said in the past he's reluctant to do so.
Froch is looking at Hopkins, possible Kessler III, Cleverly is willing to meet him and Groves too. The latter two fights will be big in a year or two, he can pack out stadiums against binmen until then if he really wanted.Comment

He is right about froch having no moe options than ward. In fact froch might have less, no matter who he beats he will still be #2. Ward on the other hand will elevate himself as a champion by beating a solid contender. Something froch will never be (champion) unless he beats ward (or moves up), there is a big difference between a champion and a titleholder.Comment
