Damn, SRL on dat save a hoe campaign huh. Floyd is lame and that's dat. Besides Ray is lying his a$$ off. He's never done anything compatible. Sure the Lalonde thing was lame, however he never competed at lightheavy before that farce. Unlike Floyd who's a 2 time jr middleweight champ.
What Ray Leonard did with Lalonde was a whole lot worse than this fight with Mayweather and Canelo.
between the pouty retirements and catchweight issues, he and Floyd have a lot in common
You aren't lying.
Ray Leonard is the only fighter in the history of this sport that I genuinely dislike to nearly the point of hate. If he was capable of the type of **** Mayweather can do today, he'd do it times two.

LMAO. Against who??? Ray Leonard would probably go undefeated against everyone Floyd ducked, and be regarded as the GOAT.
How's that skin thickening program going? Too early to tell?
My skin's pretty thick. You seem to be rather sensitive to me messing with you Seriously though, I know that you're anti-anything pro-Mayweather but trying to make a comparison with negotiating a catchweight to loading a fighter's gloves and getting a man killed is a bit much.

Lighten up, of course I didn't compare the 2 things. I compared 2 offenders (1 felony, 1 misdemeanor) voicing opinion on another.
It's very easy to envision the Leonard of the late 80's doing something like that. The fight with Lalonde was a farce and so was the rematch with Hearns to a lesser degree.
Difference is, Leonard and his followers - far as I know - never led a four year campaign towards diminishing and denigrating his rivals victories on the basis that he required a catchweight to do so. That's why Mayweather has been relentlessly trashed for the catchweight against Alvarez.
Leonard, in his prime, made the big fights happen in his division. Totally different animal to what he became later on.
Leonard winning the lightheavy title at a top weight of 168 always was and always will be BS. Leonard was the original catchweight king and fought both and Duran and Hearns with the super middleweight title on the line at a catchweight of 164. Oscar fought Hopkins for the middleweight title at a catchweight of 158. Pacquiao fought Cotto for the welterweight title at a catchweight of 145. Pacquiao fought Margarito for the Jr. middleweight title at a catchweight of 150. Cotto fought Margarito for the Jr. middleweight title at a catchweight of 153. Floyd is defending his 154 pound title at a catchweight of 152. All these catchweight title fights are equally wrong no matter how big a star the fighter demanding them is.Title fights should allow the fighters to weigh the top weight for that class. Otherwise it should be a non title fight. If Pacquiao was wrong then Mayweather is just as wrong. You can't have it both ways.
