We all knew Lopez had 0 percent chance to beat canelo. When the fight was made i was pissed because He could have fought someone like Lara or even K9 would have been fine. Past is the past tho. i hope Canelo gets the De La Hoya treatment one day and when he gets a fighter he thought was easy moving up. They give him the treatment Pacquiao gave to De La HoyaComment

Quietly, that was a very good match and it really revealed a lot about both Maidana and Karass. Maidana impressed me with his well-roundedness and I remember thinking that wow, he doesn't look so much like a "brawler" anymore and that he had evolved.Maidana is not dumb, there is a clip on youtube where someone asks him about facing Canelo and he said dude was too big for him - Maidana looked very good against karass, head movement, setting up power shots behind the jab, and better footwork, and last but not least - patience - he is a true student of the game, trying to shed the brawler stigma.
Karass is a solid, solid competitor and he has great skills, I think he is highly underrated.Comment
