Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer has advised BoxingScene.com that his company placed a secondary hold on Los Angeles' Staples Center for the date of September 7th. If the deal gets finalized, the event would feature an explosive junior welterweight main event between WBC/WBA champion Danny Garcia (26-0, 16KOs) and mandatory challenger Lucas Matthysse (34-2, 32KOs).

The Staples Center was Schaefer's first choice to stage the above referenced September show.

Staples center sounds dumb ass ****... These are east coast guys. Garcia, Judah, PEDerson and Matthysse just fought in AC.

They got AC, MSG and DC but instead they go to the west coast. Meh.

And Danny and his dad are very easy for Mexicans to root against. He just beat up a Mexican legend in Morales. The satisfaction of seeing him get KO'd would be pretty sweet.
