If you had it a Canelo blowout you don't ever need to watch boxing again; I had Canelo winning by 1 point cause of the knockdown. Canelo landed the cleaner punches but it was times he just did nothing at all. It was basically a draw in my eyes but Canelo edges cause of the knockdown.

With open scoring, you probably shouldn't even be looking at your score cards to assess this fight.

Trout had to get out of his game plan early in the fight because he realized early on that he was losing the fight.

Canelo who knew early on that he was winning the fight so he just did what he did throughout the fight and hadn't had to do more. He knew that he had the fight won, so why push and give the opponent a chance to get back in the fight with a knock down or knock out.

The only thing that was good about the open scoring was that it gave Trout the knowledge that he wasn't going to win so it gave him a second chance to reflect and change his game plan.

So lets say on your scorecard, you had Trout coming back strong in the late rounds and winning it, so what. Canelo knew due to the open scoring that Trout had to KO him to win.

that is actually why the fight ended closer than it should, canelo just coasted the later rounds . he just didnt care to do enough to win those rounds....

I don't see it either, but a lot of respectable posters also gave it to Trout. I watched it again and I thought the victory was even clearer for Canelo. I guess it comes down to preference?

I agree with y'all saying it was close. I think I had Canelo winning by 2 points overall and I never meant to imply it was a blowout but Canelo was the clear winner.
