This guy made fun of my sweater so I shoved him on the ground and he hurt his chin.
It seems like you are a bit of a bully.
but to answer your question: of course anyone that trains and studies the sport, or any combat form will use it in a fight. -that's the ultimate purpose, to defend yourself successfully-

Thats sealed the deal. I jumped out and without even noticing I jabbed him first, we squared up and he got a thunder jab treatment all night. He couldn't do ****, he was a drunk brawler and couldn't get close to me. He would swing a wide crazy hooks I would back up, wait and jump forward with a jab I literally beat the **** out of this guy with just jabs.

Honestly after the fight my left hand was swollen and cut up from his teeth, but I felt soooooo good. I mean f()ck it, it's me or u.

If u boxed long enough ur sub-conscious takes over and handles everything. Now if u hit the gym for one month ur whole life u revert to brawling.

After I whooped the kids ass I jumped in my car and flew home. Because when ur over 18 u have to register ur hands and they consider u as a deadly weapon.
Why didn't you go for the kill?

My trainer told me a long time ago if I get into a street fight, since our hands are licensed, we better get the knockout in one punch and walk away. Anything more and you'll most likely be screwed in court.

Honestly, since boxing I try to avoid them, its not even remotely fair. When I see these dudes try throwing fist, even tough guys, it's just a joke after years of boxing experience.

The reason i ask about going for the kill is that street fights involving road rage are dangerous. Especially in states that allow carry permits which means a good chance a person has a gun in the car. In North Carolina a guy was losing a street fight in a road rage case, and his wife came out firing a gun. There also been incidents in which people who have confronted others have been terminated with extreme prejudice with a firearm.

Even a boxer like Vernon Forrest was killed after he came chasing a guy after a car jack, and i do think Forrest had a gun in Atlanta.

Where does this garbage about a boxers hands being licensed come from? If a boxer smacks someone the courts/jury will not consider the fact that he was a boxer, they will simply assess whether or not the force used was reasonable.

A few of my mates used to be a fan of having a few beers and lacing 'em up in the garden. Since I boxed for nearly 6 years and they've never boxed properly in their lives, it wasn't even remotely fair, so I always said I wouldn't join in. This one day, however, after one of the "fights" had just gone 4 rounds and been scored a draw, one of the boys disagreed with my scoring (he had it 3-1 for one guy, someone else had it 2-2 and I had it 3-1 for the other guy). He used this as an opportunity to try and tell me I don't know **** about boxing and I only claim to have boxed before so I had an excuse not to fight anyone. Now he had a bit of a reputation around my ends as a local hard nut, so he was pretty vocal about calling me out, thinking he could just walk straight through me and knock me out. This went on for weeks and weeks, until one day when he was really pissing me off, so I agreed to fight him the next day before either of us had anything to drink, so when I knocked his loudmouth ass out he had no excuse. When he turned up the next day he seemed to be taking it very seriously, refusing to talk to me at all and walking around with his "game face" on. He came steaming forward like a train, and ate a stiff jab right in the nose for his trouble. He shook it off, dabbed away the blood and did exactly the same thing again, this time walking right onto a straight right that dropped him. After barely making what felt like a very slow count, he made exactly the same mistake again and caught a left hook to the body and, as he doubled over, ate a right uppercut clean on the button. The fight was stopped and I later found out I'd broken 3 of his ribs, his nose and his jaw. After watching the previously undefeated "champion" get completely torn apart without landing a single punch, nobody else wanted me to play any more.

Boxing is helpful of course but is best to not even throw hands, high risk of severe injury to your hands and fingers.

One street fight can end your boxing career, i destroyed my middle finger and left wrist street fighting, my wrist aches to this days specially when throwing hooks with my left hand.

Is best to carry a gun, specially if you are in America and have above average social value, career etc.

Let this guy deal with the issues
