Did you ever use boxing in a street fight?

I got in a street fight today. I've been hitting the bag at the gym a few times a week and doing jumping jacks so I was ready. This guy made fun of my sweater so I shoved him on the ground and he hurt his chin.

Yes one time. I was coming from the Penthouse (Vancouver) with my friend who played piano there, early in the morning, and he was attacked by a drunk who'd followed us out. Phil (Lenk) wasn't a fighter so I intervened and hit the guy just one very nice left hook, knocked him down. Finis. Afterwards having coffee I heard one of the Philliponi's talking about it-I think it was Joe (he was murdered years later).......

Just looked up Phil on the Internet and see that he passed away just last year in Albuquerque. He was playing at the Rancher's Club for 25 years. He must have become very good. In the obituary I noticed that there was no mention of the Penthouse. Not surprised as it was the most notorious joint in town. still is.......Phil was a really nice guy, a first class fellow. R.I.P.

I almost got into a fight yesterday with the one of the refs at my son's soccer game...last game of the season and I got kicked outta the venue...Mike Bibby style lol.....I was heated and was thinking about Swift hooking that mother****er before I left the field lol

you got into a fight because a guy made fun of your clothes? You're 33 right? You realize that you engaged in what's called "mutual combat" and you would get jail time for that if the Judge is in a bad mood that day right? Not to mention that if you hit a guy, he falls, hits his head on the ground and he dies that you are now going to jail for manslaughter as well. Moron.

The law in this country could be so damn dumb. Can't even get into a street fight lol.

I never used boxing back in my day on the streets. I dunno why I would always get my opponent in a headlock and just punch the **** out of him. It worked every time.

No but for real, you're one of those guys who they make fun of in the movies. I didn't know people actually got into fights at kids' games. That's actually funny.

In a packed ass place you can't really box, but if there is room where you can hop back half a step and fire straight back into their grill...that ends fights real quick. Or if it is a wrestler/mma type guy who dives at your legs, you can bash them with uppercuts...it does scary damage.

I got into street fight the other day albeit inadvertently it was these two guys really doing some bad ass moves on each other and wrecking everything around them, I think their names were batman and superman. Anyhow superman dissed my jumper so I pushed him and he hurt his chin. Motherfúcker won't be commenting on jumpers anytime soon!

I got into a fight in my early 20's I threw a jab to warn him to back off he didn't so he walk into my follow up jab and he started bleeding bad and he ran away lol.
