I think Austin Trout would give Mayweather Hell!

I was watching Canelo vs Trout again, as I normally like to study fighters when a big fight is announced, and I am actually more certain that Trout would give Floyd problems then Canelo. I am not saying I don't think Canelo will do well, but I am not certain he will. With Trout, I think that southpaw jab, the skills, the speed would make for a very technical and complicated fight for Floyd, it may be boring but it would be highly competitive and a fight where Floyd might struggle to overcome Trout's size and jab.

I would like to see this fight, I think Trout should try and get himself in with another name fighter, maybe one of the other champions, or a Mosley and get himself back in position to fight the winner. He hardly disgraced himself against Canelo, it was a close fight and hard to score. I also thought Trout's win over Cotto was just as impressive as Mayweather's.

Trout showed against Canelo that he would be completely outclassed by Mayweather, IMO.

Lara would do a better job. More mobile, more power and faster than Trout. Southpaw as well. And Lara would force Floyd to be the aggressor.

Yeah, the movement, jab and versatility is a bad matchup for Floyd. He would be able to do to Floyd what Floyd does to others...hit and not get hit. Not saying he would dominate or beat Floyd but his natural, awkward stye (unpredictability), height, jab and movement would negate much of what uses against his opposition. Like they say, styles make fights.

He's nowhere near as adaptable, that's for sure. But he has a lot of attributes Floyd hasn't had to deal with yet, taken in combination: Huge fast soutpaw, best mover in class

Yeah but you have to remember that Trout wasn't expecting that kind of a fight from Alvarez (he even said it post fight). He was expecting Alvarez to come right at him and try to **** the body, he was caught off guard. With Floyd, there is no question that you are going to have a moving target.

i agree that lara would give floyd an even tougher fight than trout. trout has no pop in his punches. i doubt he could beat floyd.
